Swimmers and Sakura Blossoms – An Ode to the Murals of 2014

So many great projects! This year I hit the mother lode
Such a stellar year of art must surely deserve an ode

The year is almost out, and parting will be such sweet sorrow
So I’ll reflect upon the year past before I jump into tomorrow

I started the year in Beverly Hills, and by July I was in Raleigh
I painted ten public murals this year before hanging up the holly

A dachshund, a dove, a shark, a hearse and a literate dragon
Fields of lavender in Provence and an ancient sprinkling wagon

There was that cliffhanger at Stanford and to Pabu I brought Spring
This was the year I really hit my stride at this mural thing

In March I earned my contractors license- watch out don’t mess with me
I can drive a scissor lift like it’s a Tesla Model D

In August I helped paint the set for the movie Auntie Claus
And daily meditation helps me focus, relax and pause

This world is so stunning it keeps me constantly inspired
In September I gave tips to other artists looking to get hired

The universe was on fire this year with synchronistic science
By matching me up with so many truly fabulous clients

While I duly count my blessings, I am chomping at the bit for more…
I can’t wait to find out what the year 2015 has in store!
