 2021 WRap UpThe final moments of 2021 might seem an Omicron crash and burn Still, there were many good months of the year that we ought not spurn Remember when, for a little while, the bay area was mask-free The rest of the year I had a good excuse to skip the gym entirely Overall, it was a tremendous year for the public arts Cities used mural art to lure us back into their bustling parts Art commissions abounded, there was no time to rest As many homeowners continued to feather their cozy nest This year I was hired to paint murals by the cities of San Jose, Los Gatos, and Napa (Though I continue uncelebrated in my talents as a rapper) The DAR generously honored me with an art award for lifetime achievement Though just finding my next project is always a relievement I welcome in the new year, a fresh course to chart We are made for the challenges we face, each can enlarge our heart Keep your joy full in the present, let your sense of humor prevail And may you find safe haven in whatever 2022 might avail Warm regards,   |
