Workshop @ Life Moves
For this mural project, I was joined by a team of professional mural artists for a week-long gig at Julian Street Inn, a San Jose facility run by the Bay Area based non-profit LifeMoves. The organization’s wholehearted enthusiasm for this beautification project was an inspiration to me and my students! After consideration, we identified the dining room and entryway courtyard area as places that could benefit from art. We focused on creating a welcoming, safe space… a sanctuary. The result was a sunset mural, a trompe-l’oeil fountain and pillars, as well as a balloon-laden bicycle. (Read more about this project here.)
