Juana Briones Primary School Garden Mural

This series of school murals and vignettes were painted around the vegetable and reading gardens in the primary grade area at Juana Briones Elementary School in Palo Alto, California. The purpose of the artwork was to transform the area into a destination for the kids and not just a pass-through. A LOT of surfaces were painted to tie together a divergent area. Much to the delight of the children, there were lots of little bugs, snakes, chickens, frogs and hidden fairies incorporated into the “art plantings.”
