Utility box art has become a more popular public art project in recent years and as a muralist, I’m absolutely loving it! I brought California wildlife art to twenty utility boxes throughout the Stoneridge Creek Community, all with birds that can be spotted around the local area. We have such an incredible variety of native species… I made sure to include a hummingbird, a phoebe, a nuthatch, a junco, a woodpecker, a kingfisher, an oriole, a warbler, a wren, a bushtit, a sparrow, a towhee, a finch, a shrike, a kinglet, a meadowlark, and a bunting.
I also painted a nine-panel landscape at Stoneridge in an outdoor arcade. You can read more about these projects in my blog posts here and here.
